Park FC edged FC Luzira on Friday night at Old Kampala Futsal Arena to win their maiden Futsal Uganda Cup title.
In the game played under floodlights, Park FC defeated FC Luzira 8-6 in the final of Futsal Uganda Cup to lift their first ever cup title.
Park FC dominated the first stanza leading 5-1 with Derrick Walugembe scoring a brace while talisman Joel Ogwang netted the only goal for FC Luzira.
FC Luzira came stronger at the start of the second half and made the game 6-7 with only a goal behind but Michael Abura netted the eighth goal for Park FC to seal the hard fought win.
Park Fc’s duo of Kalyango Samuel and Brian Drileba won the most valuable and best goalkeeper awards respectively.
Despite losing the final, FC Luzira’s forward Joel Ogwang won the top scorer’s award with fourteen goals.
