2023 All Africa Games: Botes Names Queen Cranes Final Squad

Head Coach Sheryl Botes has announced the final squad for the Uganda U20 Women’s National Team (Queen Cranes) who will for the first time compete in the 2023 All Africa Games in Accra, Ghana, from March 8th to 23rd, 2024.

To qualify for the tournament, Uganda finished among the top eight teams in the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers. Uganda is placed in Group A alongside hosts Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

The Queen Cranes will start their campaign against neighbours Tanzania on 9th March before taking on Ethiopia and hosts Ghana on 12th and 15th March respectively.

The team will travel to Ghana on Wednesday morning at 2:45am aboard Ethiopian Airlines. FUFA Executive Committee Member Dan Obote is the Leader of Delegation for both the Queen Cranes (U20 Women) and Uganda Hippos (U20 Men).
