The 2023 Kansai Plascon-painted Masaza Cup action returns this Saturday with two semifinal fixtures on the menu.

Four counties are in a race to reach the final and secure a handshake from Buganda King, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.

The golden royal opportunity comes with a Twaake moment of lifting the trophy and winning the county’s bragging rights battle.

In one of the fixtures, record champions Gomba will host last edition finalist Buddu at Kabulasoke PTC Playgrounds

Gomba is the most successful team in Masaza Cup history, with five titles to their name. They will be looking to add to their tally this year.

In the other game, also at 4:00PM, three-time winner Mawokota who last won in 2013 will host two-time champions Bulumeezi.

Buddu will be hoping to make amends for their defeat in the last final in a game which will be played at the fortress Buwama Ssaza Grounds.
