Uganda U20 Women’s Football National Team head coach Ayub Khalifah has finalized his squad of 20 players for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Senegal.
The team received a boost with the return of captain Hadijah Nandago, who missed the initial call-up due to senior six exams. Nandago is now available to lead the team in pursuit of World Cup qualification.
Senegal will host the first leg of the qualifiers in Dakar on November 11, 2023, with the return leg scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2023, at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Uganda reached this stage after eliminating Mozambique 8-0 on aggregate, while Senegal overcame Benin 2-0 on aggregate.
Only four qualified teams from Africa will advance to the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals, to be held in Colombia from September 5-22, 2024.
