With a week left before their first Kanasi Plascon painted 2024 Masaza Cup game against Ssingo, Buweekula County unveiled their squad and technical team.

The Mubende side revealed their 2024 Masaza Cup roster to their fans on Sunday at National teacher College, the same venue for this weekend’s match.

Last season’s best performers were kept and the squad got a boost of last Season’s top scorer Yusuf Mukwana who finished with 7 goals on his name.

Despite not advancing to the knockout stages together with his side Kyaggwe County, Mukwana made defenders earn their money.

Buweekula also beefed up the midfield area with Amur Munogera and Herbert Atwine from defending Champions Bulemeezi County.

Team Manager Haji Rajab Ssebulime assured fans that Buweekula is the team to beat “at first, we looked for winning coaches and secured them, another was to get the best players and I am sure the players we have are the best.”

The other signings unveiled were; Jimmy Kalema Kiwemmere from Mawokota, James Kayemba from Ssingo, Ronnie Ziraba from Busiro and Aniku Fahad from Gomba County.

Under Coach Felix Ssekabuza Kawooya Buwekula community have high hopes of shining (read Twaake) the brightest with the key additions.

Former team chairman Deo Masembe also stressed that the team has been improved from what he left, “we have been having good coaches but not winners, now it is different.”

“The coaches we have won the Masaza Cup and Ssekabuza won the Schools Championship. Now it is up to us the people of Buweekula to extend enough support for them,” Masembe concluded.
