The FUFA Big League returns on September 28, kicking off a season full of promise and big battles. Eight games will open the campaign across the country.
Relegated Wakiso Giants headline Match Day 1 as they host Young Elephant at Wakisha Recreation Ground, marking their first game back in the second tier after six years in the top flight.
Soltilo Bright Stars and Mbale Heroes, also fresh from relegation, face tough trips, Bright Stars visit Kataka in Mbale while Heroes travel to Iganga United.
Paidha Black Angels host Nebbi Central in Zombo, and Blacks Power welcome Onduparaka in Lira.
Ntugasaze play Kyinda Boys in Mityana, Catda face Kigezi Homeboyz at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds, and Kaaro Karungi take on Bunyoro United in Ntungamo.
The season runs until June 7, 2026. The first round ends January 11, with the second starting February 22.
The top two finishers will earn automatic promotion to the Uganda Premier League, while third place will face a playoff against the UPL’s third-bottom side.
This year’s league welcomes ambitious newcomers Young Elephant, Kyinda Boys, and Nebbi Central, after Booma, MYDA, Busoga United, and Arua Hill were relegated last season.
With fallen giants, rising teams, and familiar names all in the mix, the 2025/26 FUFA Big League promises to be one of the most competitive seasons yet.
