With everything set for the 2025-2026 season of the FUFA Women Super League, the new season has been launched on October 1 at Twed Tower Nakasero.

The launch was attended by coaches of league clubs, with FUFA being represented by Competitions Director Hajjat Aisha Nalule.

In his speech, Lubega revealed the extra support of 150 million as an additional token for this season to the 2.2 billion deal of five years.

In the commencement, FUFA Competition Director, Aisha Nalule confirmed the body’s support of 20 Zakayo official match balls to each club of the Super League.

Speaking ahead of the season, Kawempe Muslims Coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi revealed that they are only up for winning back the league they missed last season.

“Last season, it was too bad for us to have missed out on the league amidst our good start to the season, but we were challenged with the loss of some good players like Phiona Nabulime in the middle of the season.”

With the new season coming, we have to handle each game as important as any other game because any mistake in a game can cost you a trophy,” he added.

Opening up the league with the two last season’s top contestants on Friday, October 3 at Kawempe Muslims, Kampala Queens Assistant Coach Sharon Kizza said to handle the game as any other game, “Each team of the league is a competitor to us, and our opening is a normal game like any other.”

The league shall have more games in the opening week at different pitches, with kickoff time maintained at 10:00 a.m.
