National Basketball League | Final | Women | Game 3
- JKL Lady Dolphins 77-59 JT Lady Jaguars
JKL Lady Dolphins took control of the National Basketball League (NBL) Finals with a dominant 77–59 win over JT Lady Jaguars at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Tuesday night.
The victory gave the defending champions a 2–1 series lead after the Jaguars crumbled in the fourth quarter under JKL’s intense defensive pressure.
The Jaguars started stronger, leading 24–18 after the first quarter, but the Dolphins gradually settled.
Becky Keren Longom’s impact off the bench tightened JKL’s defence, slowing the Jaguars’ fast-paced attack. By halftime, the Dolphins had edged ahead 36–35.
The third quarter was evenly contested, with JKL holding a slim 52–51 advantage heading into the final period.
Then came the turning point, an 8–0 Dolphins run that forced Jaguars coach Sudi Ulanga into an early timeout.
His side never recovered, managing just eight points in the last quarter as JKL pulled away decisively.
Hope Akello led the charge with 17 points, while captain Flavia Oketcho scored 13, Evelyn Nakiyinji 12, and Brenda Ekone 11. For the Jaguars, Rhoda Nagitta (15) and Shakirah Nanvubya (13) were the only bright spots.
