- JT Jaguars 72-58 Miracle Eaglets
JT Lady Jaguars became the third women’s team to complete a 2-0 sweep in the 2025 National Basketball League Playoffs, joining JKL Lady Dolphins and UCU Lady Canons in the semifinals.
Shakirah Nanvubya starred for the Jaguars, scoring a game-high 26 points to lead them to a 72-58 win over Miracle Eaglets in Game Two on Tuesday night at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The Jaguars started strong, leading 19-13 after the first quarter and 34-24 at halftime. They stretched the gap to 56-40 in the third quarter and comfortably closed out the win.
Mercy Batamuliza added 14 points and 17 rebounds for the Jaguars, while Winfred Akello (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Mariam Namukwaya (15 points) led the Eaglets.
In the men’s playoffs, City Oilers beat JT Jaguars 77-62 in Game One of their quarterfinal series.
Action continues Wednesday at Lugogo, with KCCA Leopards facing Magic Stormers in Game Two of the women’s playoffs at 7 pm, followed by UCU Canons battling Kampala Rockets at 9 pm.
