  • Namuwongo Blazers 73-58 UCU Canons

The Namuwongo Blazers tightened their grip on the National Basketball League semifinals with a 73–58 win over the UCU Canons on Friday night at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Fresh off a Game One victory (68–60) and their confirmation to represent Uganda in the Road to BAL 2026, the Blazers came out flying.

Innocent Ochera capped a dominant first quarter with a buzzer-beating three for a 28–13 lead.

UCU fought back, holding the Blazers to seven second-quarter points to trail 35–31 at halftime, then closed to 55–52 heading into the fourth. But Namuwongo regained control, pulling away for a 15-point finish.

Joel Lukoji led with 24 points, while James Okello added 17 and Arthur Wanyoto 14. Jimmy Otim (12) and Ekirapa Zachariah (11) paced UCU.

The Blazers need one more win to sweep the best of five series and reach the NBL Finals.
