- UCU Lady Canons 65-50 JKL Lady Dolphins
UCU Lady Canons kept their title hopes alive with a commanding 65–50 win over JKL Lady Dolphins in Game Four of the National Basketball League Playoff Semifinals on Friday night at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Facing elimination, the Mukono-based side played with urgency and discipline, delivering a gritty defensive performance that silenced the defending champions and forced a winner-takes-all Game Five.
JKL started strong, led by Hope Akello’s two early three-pointers, to take a 20–10 lead after the first quarter.
But UCU reset, tightening their defense and holding JKL to just five points in the second quarter to lead 30–25 at halftime.
The Lady Canons kept control in the third quarter and sealed the win in the fourth with a clutch three-pointer from Hajara Najjuko.
Martina Anyango dominated with a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Sylvia Nakituuka added 11 points and Shila Lamunu chipped in 10. JKL’s Hope Akello finished with 15 points in a losing effort.
The win tied the series 2–2, setting up a decisive Game Five to determine who advances to the NBL Finals.
