St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende delivered a perfect day at the CAF Schools Football Championship in Zimbabwe, securing two convincing wins to book a place in the semifinals.
The Ugandan side began with a dominant 6-0 victory over DR Congo, a performance built on sharp attacking and early control.
Owen Mukisa led the charge with a hat-trick, while Musa Kironde, Ivan Kakinda and Emmanuel Opio each added a goal.
Mukisa opened the scoring in the ninth minute, Kironde doubled the lead three minutes later, and Mukisa struck again before halftime to make it 3-0.
After the break, Kakinda made it four, Mukisa completed his hat-trick, and Opio sealed the win.
The result lifted Kitende to four points, following their 1-1 draw with hosts Zimbabwe on Easter Monday, and set up a decisive final Group A clash against Morocco.
Later in the evening, Kitende rose to the occasion. Needing a win to be sure of progression, they beat Morocco 3-0 with another confident display.
Lucky Wanyama scored twice, while Mukisa added his fourth goal of the day across both matches.
Wanyama gave Kitende an early lead in the fifth minute and doubled it six minutes later, putting Morocco on the back foot.
Kitende stayed in control after the break and added a third to put the result beyond doubt.
The victory secured a place in the last four and capped a day that showed Kitende’s growing confidence and attacking strength.

Elsewhere, Morocco had earlier beaten Zimbabwe 2-1, while defending champions Tanzania drew 1-1 with Benin in Group B.
