The Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) is set to kick off two exciting tournaments on February 6, 2026, with the inaugural Maiden Futsal Uganda Cup Women and the 6th Edition of the Men’s Futsal Uganda Cup both taking center stage.
This marks a significant moment for the sport in Uganda, showcasing the depth of talent and passion for futsal across both genders.
The Maiden Futsal Uganda Cup Women’s represents a monumental step for women’s futsal, highlighting the growing interest and talent in the game.
With 10 teams competing, including notable sides like Old Kampala Ladies, Nansana Aska Ladies, Mengo City, and Lubiri Falcons, the tournament promises an exciting blend of skill and competition.
The action gets underway at 5:00 PM, with Old Kampala Ladies facing Nansana Aska Ladies in what is expected to be a closely contested match.
This will be followed by a clash between Mengo City and Lubiri Falcons at 6:00 PM, as both teams aim to make a strong impression.
In a knockout format, each match is critical as teams fight for a chance to advance and ultimately claim the championship.
This historic competition aims to inspire future generations and elevate the profile of women’s futsal in Uganda.
Concurrently, the 6th Edition of the Men’s Futsal Uganda Cup continues to establish itself as one of the premier competitions in the nation.
Featuring 10 teams, including strong competitors such as Kabowa Dream Team, Lubiri Falcons, Edgars Youth Programme, and Mengo City, the tournament promises thrilling action and high-stakes matches.
The men’s tournament kicks off at 7:00 PM with Kabowa Dream Team clashing against Lubiri Falcons.
This will be followed by Edgars Youth Programme taking on Lubaga Grameen at 8:00 PM, and the night wraps up with Old Kampala facing Mbarara QC at 9:00 PM.
The knockout format ensures that every match carries significance, adding intensity to the competition.
