Abdallah Mubiru believes his experience will help him succeed at KCCA FC where he has been appointed as replacement for Sergio Traguil who was recently sacked.

Mubiru revealed this after he was unveiled as the new coach by club patron and Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago alongside club chairman Eng. Andrew Sserunjogi Mukiibi.

“I’m happy and pleased that I am back at KCCA FC after some years since I left. But I give back this to God. It has been God who made this plan.”

“I was a boy then when I was here and now am happy to announce that I am a man. I have brought maturity and a lot of experiences. I expect to use those experiences to see that the team gets where it has to be,” noted Mubiru.

He returns for a second stint having been in charge of the team in 2014 before he was sacked in 2015.

The former KCCA player from the 90s has previously coached teams like Police FC, Proline FC, Vipers SC, Mbeya City FC and Uganda Cranes.

Erias Lukwago has reminded Mubiru that KCCA is a big side and that he has to put it where it belongs.

“Let’s target winning titles. KCCA is a big club and we don’t want to see it in relegation position but rather battle for titles.” noted Lukwago.

Mubiru will be assisted by Kefa Kisala and Jackson Magera as part of his technical team. Magera was the interim coach after Traguil’s departure and he was in charge of three games, winning one, drawing one and losing the other.
