She Cranes booked their place in the semi-finals of the Africa Netball Cup with a composed 47–39 win over Namibia in their final Group B match on Thursday at the lively Griffin Sayenda Sports Complex.

This was Uganda’s second win over Namibia have beat them in the Celtic Cup weeks ago and  She Cranes took charge from the very first whistle, moving the ball with purpose, defending as a unit, and attacking with confidence.

Their control was clear as they surged to a 14–5 first quarter lead, stretching it further to 28–13 by halftime.

Namibia tried to fight back after the break, pushing with more movement and aggression, but Uganda’s experience kept the game firmly in their hands.

The She Cranes managed the pressure well, ending the third quarter 37–28 and later finishing the job with calmness to seal the eight goal victory and confirm their place in the last four.

Shadia Nassanga once again stood out. The reliable goal attacker delivered another polished performance that earned her Player of the Match.

Even with signs of fatigue, a result of the heavy workload she shared with midcourt engine Margaret Baagala, Nassanga maintained her accuracy and composure, embodying the team’s resilience and fighting spirit.

Attention now shifts to Saturday’s semi-final against hosts Malawi, a team known for its physical presence and passionate home support.
