KCCA BC’s Alex Kanabi has been named the best boxer for August at the Monthly Sports Awards, earning 1,512 votes (45.65%) and beating contenders Kato Kazibwe, Isaac Kasasa, Leon Kiggundu and Nandawula Zahara.
Kanabi won the award after his impressive victories over Serugo Bashir, also known as Horse Power and Nerrick Tumusiime fondly known as Bulabe during Champions League Season 4 competition.
His family, including his sister Phiona Nana, celebrated the achievement.
