All set for Central Region Athletics Championship

As Uganda Athletics continue to ground the sport, the turn for Central Region has arrived at madela National Stadium in Namboole.

Following the successful championship held in Northern and Western, the Central gets into action on 28 June 2025.

Going into the Central truck and field races, the Program is poised to start at 12 pm with a technical meeting followed with fielding events at 2:30.

In Women’s Long Jump in particular will have stars like Winifred Atimango of Uganda Christian University, Scovia Lakot of Uganda Presons, Dormidy Adongo of UPDF and others shall compete in the event.

Again at 2:30 pm the Men’s Shot Put along with women’s Discus throw shall take action before track events commencing at 2:40 pm with 200 meter men’s first heat.

The likes of Nifu Ndiwoloye of Kampala Kids Academy Athletics Club, Bram Emukurait of KCCA Athletics Club and Keith Batte of Uganda Christian University Athletics Club standing in pole to lead.

From the time other races shall continue up to 5:15 where the most anticipated race the 400 meters shall start with top Athletes like Harod Adoli the best in the race facing challenges from the likes Fred Ambayo, Kokas Erim and other colleagues from Uganda Police competing to win the race.
