Last week it was Sahaf Kakande’s performance which cost Park FC the unbeaten run when put on over 10 saves.
The youngster managed to better his previous performance during the game against QC Mbarara as he faced 19 shots on target and conceded only two goals, making 17 saves.
Kakande had 10 saves inside the opening ten minutes before being relived by his side goal scorer Frank Ssebatta.
In the next 10 minutes, Kakande faced three more attempts from QC Mbarara with Kenneth Majara standing as the main challenger but the challenge was overcome guiding Lubaga to leading at the break, 1-0.
Returning for the second half, QC Mbarara got to give up as Lubaga Grameen’s goalie made two more saves before Majara found the back of the net.
At that moment it is where Andrew Kanyanga decided to take the responsibility, netting a screamer from goal ark but Daniel Eberu Ebegu levelled again for QC.
As the game stood unsettled, the intensity continued to rise as the ball was end to end until Kanyenga restored Lubaga’s lead for the third time but this time the game was almost done despite other two outstanding saves and one clearance from Kakande.
The game assured a second win in a row for Lubaga Grameen having defeated Park FC last week 5-3 to break their long-standing unbeaten run.
The win raised Lubaga Grameen from 8th to 5th on the table with 7 points, sitting 6 points behind leader Crown Lubiri who leapfrogged Kabowa Dream Team with a 2-1 win.
Kabowa Dream Team came in to face Crown Lubiri with 4 wins in 4 games but the new side forced the leader before Matchday 5 to the first loss of the season.
The win guided Crown Lubiri to the top on the table with 13 points from 5 games, standing as the only unbeaten side in the league.
The Matchday which cost Kabowa Dream Team saw Park FC regaining momentum with a hard-fought 5-2 win over Edgar’s Youth Program.
As always it has been, Abaasi Muluya was the man to drive Park FC bouncing back from the arching loss that came in the hands of Lubaga Grameen.
Muluya bagged a hat trick to become the first player to hit the double figure after taking his goal tally to 10 from 5 games.
In other words, Kisenyi FC returned to winning ways after beating Kisugu FC 3-1 to stop the three-game losing streak.
