Vipers SC star playmaker Bright Anukani is set to have his Uganda Cup long-range worldie against Bright Stars lined up for the FIFA Puskas award.
The award, named after Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas, recognizes the finest strike across the world for a particular year.

As the Venoms thrashed the Stars 4-0 in the first leg semi-finals of the Cup at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, Anukani, in the 26th minute scored from his own half to make it 3-0.
In a would-have-been counter-attack, Anukani capitalized on a Karim Watambala clearance to sleek-fully loop the ball beyond goalkeeper Hassan Matovu from over 60 yards.
And, even though for some reason Anukani fails to get on the nomination list, the mention from the global football governing body is a huge milestone for himself, the club, and Ugandan football.
The Venoms would go on to edge the tie on aggregate 4-1 to set up a final against Police FC, slated for Saturday at the Akii-Bua Memorial Stadium, in Lira.
