With Kansai Plascon continuing to widen its relationships with the sports industry, the top coloring company’s Marketing Director, Daniel Kayongo, has firmly stated their goal.
While speaking at the Uganda International Badminton Challenge closing ceremony on Sunday, February 22, he revealed;
“As we continue to engage with different sports disciplines, we push this as our contribution to boosting Uganda’s economy because we believe that if we support these sports bodies, enabling them to organize sports events like this”
“These events continuously bring in people from countries with stable economies to spend here in different ways. Our people, who are well off here, get community engagements through these events and spend within various communities. We believe those expenses add a lot to our economy,” he added.
Plascon is currently sponsoring nine sports disciplines including Badminton, Cricket, Football, Netball, Rugby, and others. Some of these partnerships are direct with sports governing bodies, while others go down to different clubs.
In conclusion, Kayongo encouraged other companies to adopt sports sponsorship as an easy way of boosting the economy, which, in the long run, will ease marketing for different products since the economy will be improved.
