Asubo Gafford Ladies defeated Gomba Queens 7-4 on Sunday afternoon to claim their first-ever FUFA Women Beach Soccer League title.

The Nkugwa-coached side, who went into the game unbeaten, were inspired by a hat-trick from Fatuma Nakasumba, as well as goals from Sharon Namatovu and Shakirah Nagudi.

Gomba Queens, who were playing in their first-ever final, were led by Shamina Nakalyowa, who scored all four of their goals.

The win for Asubo Gafford means that they become the fourth team to lift the FUFA Women Beach Soccer League title, after Doves Women Beach Soccer Club, Candies Women Beach Soccer Club and Mutesa 1 Royal University Ladies.
