Aziz Damani Development made it six wins in six following their 9-wicket win over Nyakasura in the National Men’s T20 League on Sunday.
After the reduction of Overs to 30 owing to the early rains, Development won the toss and sent their opposition in to bat.
Team captain Brian Masaba led by example in justifying his decision. Masaba picked 3 wickets as Development restricted Nyakasura to only 81 runs.
Mohamad Shaaf also picked three while Henry Senyondo and Frank Nsubuga got 2 and 1 respectively as their side bundled out their opponent in the 24.2 Overs.
Isaac Sanyu Ategeka who has been getting runs for Nyakasura was expected to lead his side in that regard, but he was ducked after facing just 3 balls.
Brian Asaba scored 18 off 43 balls while Ivan Thawithemwire got 14. Fortunate Alijuna (15) and team captain Pascal Murungi (14) completed the side’s players with double figures.
Aziz Damani Development used only Roger Mukasa (16), Fahad Mutagana (23) and Robinson Obuya (29) in chasing the target, and finding their sixth win of the campaign.
The result means Development remain top of the table with 12 points, four ahead of second placed Challengers.
Nyakasura remain placed 3rd in the table standings with 6 points, but they have played three more games than Development’s sister club, Aziz Damani who are positioned fourth with 4 points.
