Aziz Damani secured their first win of the season after their 134-run win over Avengers on Sunday at the Green Oval in Entebbe.
Avengers had hoped to revenge the defeat they suffered at the hands of the same opponent in the finals of the T20 Cup last month, but their efforts were in vain.
Harsh Panchal and Girish Nasta did some damage with the ball, each picking three wickets, but their side could not chase the 285 score that Damani had set.
Shrideep Mangela Stars with 103
Damani had Shrideep Mangela hit 103 from 129 balls. Mangela was backed up by Riazat Ali Shah (68), Alpesh Ramjani (33), Anas Baig (25), Simon Ssesazi (24) and Falak Shah (19).
Christopher Kidega scored 65 for Avengers but despite getting assistance from Aaron Kusasira 25, Abhishek Mashru 21 and Nasta 11, the target was far from their reach.
Aziz Damani Development Humiliates ACC
In a separate match, Aziz Damani Development humiliated ACC by 9 wickets.
Henry Senyondo took a fifer as Development bowled out ACC for just 55 runs.
The chase was a formality for Development, who won the match with 7 overs to spare.
Mukesh Makar top-scored for Development with 43 runs. Robinson Obuya and Robert Ajuna also made valuable contributions.
This win takes Development to the top of the table dislodging Challengers who have played a game less.
