Aziz Damani will face Nyakasura on Saturday in the National Men’s 50 Over League looking to ascend to second place in the table standings.

Damani are currently placed third with 8 points, level on points with second placed Challengers, but a win for on Saturday will be enough for them to move up to second.

Since losing to league leaders Aziz Damani Development, Damani have not lost any game. They are on a four-game winning run, and as such head into this one as outright favourites.

Their opponents Nyakasura were last involved in league action on 24th September and they lost that game to Development by 9 wickets.

Nyakasura are currently seated 5th in the table standings with 6 points. Should they pull up a shocker on Saturday, they will dislodge Damani from the third position.

However, a loss for them will see them dragged from that position by Wanderers if the latter wins.

Other weekend games

Wanderers will be in action on Sunday against relegation threatened Patidar.

Since their opening day victory against Nyakasura, Wanderers have not won any! Their last four games have ended in two defeats and as many ties, with their most recent result being an 8-wicket defeat to Kutchi Tigers.

They will be be hoping to return to winning ways on Sunday.

Patidar on the other hand will look to draw confidence from their rare victory against Avengers last weekend.

The side had lost all their opening four games, but rallied on Sunday to defeat Avengers by 3 runs.

It was their first victory of the campaign, but one that only got them from the bottom position to the second last.

Kutchi Tigers against bottom placed Africa Cricket Club will be the other league game that will be played in Div.1.
