Badminton Uganda expands reach through Shuttle Time in Ngora

As Badminton Uganda continues to spread the Sport in various parts of the country in its Shuttle Time initiative where more than 150 instructors have been trained.

Through training on badminton in Ngora district at Ngora High School from 28 to 30 March a number of 15 teachers from different schools in the district addition to the 120 trained last year from other parts of Uganda.

Speaking about the initiative and efforts of Badminton Uganda, Chief Executive Officer Simon Mugabi said, “This initiative is vital because it helps us to introduce badminton to communities and schools by teaching professionals and allowing youngsters to start playing.

Some of the participants praised the training and pledged to take the game forward through playing, teaching, and further promoting it.

Last year Badminton Uganda conducted training in different part of Uganda such as Rwamparara, Pader, Iganga and other areas as they delibalatly continue their focus on complying to 2023 Sports Act as they target for the national wide coverage of 75 percent.
