Bamusuuta, Kavumba Elites at Zonals in attempt to qualify for Buganda Regional League

Kiboga district champion Bamusuuta FC and Wakiso district representative Kavumba Elites are set to play their first Zonal Mini League in an attempt to reach the Buganda Regional League.

Bamusuuta FC joined association football three years back, receiving first promotion in the same year and they for two years they have been in the Kiboga District Football Association league.

The second season in the fourth division moved smoothly after winning 11 games and drawing twice, tallying 35 points from 13 league games played.

At the Zone 3 Mini League, Bamusuuta is placed in Group A with Zanta Football Club, Wabigalo Football Club and Kyagulanyi Football Club.

On the other side, Kavumba Elites finished second in Wakiso district, Victoria South, with 33 points from 15 games to find themselves in Group D with Kiyinda Young, Kiganda Tigres and Kick for Africa.

To reach the dream, either Bamusuuta FC or Kavumba Elites has to win the Mini League, which starts on Sunday in Kasanda district.

To win, they will have to beat up odds against 20 teams, including district champions from Kyankwanzi, Kiboga, Kasanda, Mubende, Mityana, Mpigi and Wakiso.

After a one-week Mini League competition at different venues in Kasanda district, only the winner will join the 2025-26 Buganda Regional League.
