The 2023/24 regular season of the Uganda Beach Soccer League comes to an end this Sunday with only one more playoffs slot up for grabs.
Both MS Sand Lions and Buganda Royal are tied on 27 points after 16 games played but, Lions is in fourth position above the Royals thanks to a better goals difference of plus 13.
The winner of the day will join St. Lawrence, Kampala City, and Mutoola who already booked their places for this edition’s play off championship which will decide the league champions.
Out of the 10 matches that will mark the end of the regular season tomorrow at Njeru Techincal center, the biggest will see the Lions take on the Royals at 4pm.
Before the decider, both have morning games with the Royals first on sand against second bottom side Wolves at 10am. MS Sands will then entertain bottom side Grace Church at 11am.
With both teams expected to win their first encounters of the day, Buganda Royal will be out for a big win to reduce on the goals gap between them and the Sand Lions.
Reason, in case a draw is registered in the second match of the day, the side with a better goal difference will pocket the spot for a championship play-off to be played on 30th June 2024.
