Top of the table Kampala City picked maximum points and an 11-goal margin in a jam-packed FUFA Beach Soccer League over the weekend.

A total of seven games were played at the FUFA Technical Centre Beach Soccer Arena with Kampala’s 11-1 victory over Wolves being the biggest of the outing.

Newbies Kampala City’s Paul Lule scored five goals against Wolves as his side and record champions St Lawrence sealed crucial wins, including a 1-0 triumph over Kiringente, to open a three-point gap at the summit.

The match of the day saw Mutoola defeat Kiringente 3-2. It was a game of narrow margins as Kiringenteโ€™s goalkeeper Zephaniah Kyobwiki made eight point-blank saves.

On the flip side, it was not the same for Kiringente and Wolves who had a bad day in office, losing all their respective two fixtures in Njeru.

After three matches, Kampala remained on top of the table with nine points, the same as St. Lawrence but they lead the proceedings courtesy of a superior goal difference of 23, six ahead of the university side.

The action will resume on 28th January 2024, with seven fixtures on the menu at FUFA Technical Center. Buganda Royal will face MS Sand Lions at 11 AM in the early kickoff.
