The betPawa Futsal Super League witnessed a major upset on Matchday 14 as Kampala Junior Team (KJT) defeated title contenders Luzira FC 4-3.
KJT dominated the game, controlling both halves, with Joel Kizza‘s hat-trick and Jordam Ajuna‘s goal proving too much for Luzira. Despite goals from Omara Samuel and Arafat Ssentongo, Luzira fell short, dropping valuable points in the title race.
Park FC Maintains Unbeaten Run
League leaders Park FC continued their impressive form with a hard-fought 4-2 victory against stubborn Edgars Youth Programme. Derrick Walugembe‘s brace, coupled with goals from Shafiq Mulangira and Samuel Kalyango, secured the win.
Edgars, despite goals from Derrick Male and Amos Wabwire, couldn’t overcome the league leaders. Park FC remains undefeated and extends their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
Kisugu Climbs the Table with Win Over Mengo City FC
Kisugu FC secured a crucial 4-2 victory over Mengo City FC, propelling them to fifth place in the standings. A brace from Majara Kenneth, along with goals from Timothy Oyamot and an own goal by Male Antony, sealed the win for Kisugu.
Mengo City FC’s consolation goals came from William Sseguya and Farouk Tumwesigye. Mengo City FC’s head coach Ismail Ssendege ‘Big Daddy’ was shown a red card as Kisugu completed a double against his side this season.
The action continues on Friday evening with three more fixtures. Kisenyi FC faces Lubaga Grameen, Nansana Aska FC battles Aidenal FC, and Kawempe FC takes on Kabowa Dream Team FC.
