Boxing Icons Return: Bando Bando Promotion Unveils Star-Studded Nine-Fight Card

From the heyday to vintage, Bando Bando Promotion launched a legendary night where nine fights will be on the card.

The launch of the event was held at Club Obligato on Tuesday, December 2, where former Boxing Champions gathered to gear up for their night in waiting on February 28, 2026, at Club Obligato.

Charles Kasumba, who doubles as the chief organiser and is also on the bout card against Henry Baluku, addressed the gathering at the launch;

“We played boxing and retired, but we didn’t leave boxing, nor did boxing leave us. Just some people have forgotten us after taking a long time without playing. We are back to entertain our fans and to let the new fans of the sport witness real boxing as a sport.”

The launch was attended by Former Uganda, Africa, and World Champions including Chuban Busingye, Former Bomba Captain in the 1970s and 80s John Siryakibbe, John Mukiibi, all Olympians and and others, to confirm other former Boxers including Aspiring Kampala Capital City Lord Mayor Ronald Nsubuga Balimwezo, Ayubu Kalule, Godfrey Nyakana, as they will be part of the development.
