Uganda U17 national team head coach Brian Ssenyondo has officially unveiled his 22-man squad set to represent the country at the upcoming TotalEnergies AFCON U17 tournament in Morocco from March 30 to April 19, 2025.
The Cubs will compete in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Tanzania, and Zambia, in a tournament that serves as a qualification pathway for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
The top 10 teams from Africa will secure a place at the global showpiece, making this competition a crucial test for Uganda’s young talents.

Uganda kicks off its campaign against tournament hosts Morocco on March 30 at El Bachir Stadium. The Cubs departed for Morocco on Thursday evening, where they will continue their preparations, including holding training sessions and friendly matches ahead of their opening fixture.
This year’s squad features a blend of promising talent from both local academies and international institutions with the aim of securing a historic qualification to the U17 World Cup.
