Buddo Secondary School shone past Kitende to win Wakiso District Zone U14 Qualifiers.
In a single round robin of the tournament Buddo Secondary School won two games by scoring 8 goals.
In the deciding game, Buddo beat St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende 2-0 in a one sided game played at Wakisha Resource Center. Nicholas Kawooya and Richard Carrick Sserubiri scored the fantastic goals in the opening minutes of the game before Buddo maintenance display.
The game followed a 6-0 win over God’s Way High School Maganjo earlier in the day. In that game, Richard Carrick Sserubiri scored a brace as the other goals came from Owen Mukisa, Nicholas Kawooya, Williams Lakot and Swabur Bomba.
Opening the tournament, St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende beat God’s Way High School Maganjo 4-0. Livingston Kulata the captain of SMASK scored two goals while Akram Ssenyonga and Frank Musisi completed the score.
All the teams participated in the qualifiers will represent Wakiso District at National Championship which is due to be hosted at St Peter’s College Tororo next Month.
In other Wakiso qualifiers held at St Augustine Naluvule, Airforce Entebbe won Athletics after overcoming Standard High School Zana by 370 points to 285 points.
Airforce won the boys category as Standard High School Zana bagged the girls category.
Other schools like Secret Hearts Wamirongo won the Ludo qualifiers, St Noa Girls were girls U14 football qualifiers winner, Wampeewo Ntakke bagged a double of Boys and girls Chess qualifiers while St Mary’s College Kisubi won Scrabble qualifiers.
This has been a second part of the qualitiers for Wakiso having finished football U16, Basketball 3×3, Netball, Dance Sports and Rugby 7s last week.
