In a positive show of unity in sports, Masaza Cup champion Buddu has joined forces with Buwekula to save the life of talented young player Martin Nsubuga Nabutono.

The Buganda Kingdom counties have organized a fundraising match scheduled for February 14, 2024, demonstrating their love for a player who was part of Buddu’s winning squad.

The player is currently fighting for his life at Mulago Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, infected with tetanus after stepping on a sharp object a few days ago.

Needing three million shillings per day, the required amount has become too much for his family and caregivers to manage.

Therefore, a fundraising effort has been initiated, starting with a procession around Nyendo Town before the game at 3 p.m.

Attendees will be asked to contribute 5,000 shillings for entrance and make another donation at halftime.

The game will be played at Kasana Playground in Nyendo, Masaka City serving as a key event to raise funds to save the player’s life.
