Nine matches took center stage at respective grounds in an action-packed weekend in the 2022 Buganda Masaza Cup penultimate round of the group stages.

Before the weekend action, Buwekula defeated Kooki 1-0 to seal a place in the quarterfinals with 19 points.

On Saturday, Ssese and Kyaggwe were locked in a two-all stalemate with Benson Agaba and Francis Mukasa equaling Shafik Mukiibi‘s brace for Ssese.

In the other match on the evening, Kyadondo players walked off the pitch protesting Buvuma‘s 87th minute goal which gave them a 1-0 lead. However, according to the referee’s report the goal stands.

The other unfortunate situation had Kooki fail to honour their away fixture with Butambala in a game meant to be hosted at the Kibibi Playground.

The following day, Sunday had more action with Kabula suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Buwekula at the Kaliiro grounds.

At Kasana Playground, Busujju were beaten 2-0 by home side Bulemeezi, thanks to Sulaiman Sseesazi and Ronald Kaye goals.

Away from Luwero district to Masaka road, hosts Buddu managed a slim 1-0 victory over Buluuli at Masaka Recreational Stadium courtesy of Haruna Lukwago‘s strike.

Meanwhile, the fixture of Gomba up against Mawokota and that of Ssingo with Mawogola ended in a 1-1 draw. Buwana playgrounds and Ssaza grounds in Mityana hosted the games respectively.

The third game with the same scoreline of a 1-1 draw on the card had Bugerere and Busiro sharing the spoils at Ntenjeru.
