Nasibu Mukasa left Buluuli to rejoin Buganda Masaza Cup record champions Gomba following the departure of Simon Dungu aka Dunga, who left on mutual consent.
It is Mukasa’s second stint at Gomba in a span of one year, after he replaced Frank Mulindwa last season, resulting in Gomba’s failure to pass the group stage.
On his return, Mukasa walked with Rajab Ntambi to join other coaches left by Dunga, including his assistant Simon Gita, William Suubi, and David Bbaale.
With chances becoming minimal for Gomba to progress to the knockout stage, Nasibu will start his second journey with Gomba on Sunday, July 20.
Gomba has lost all three fixtures they have been involved in this season. They lost 1-0 to Buddu and Ssese before falling to Busujju 2-1. Out of the three fixtures, Gomba has played twice on the road and once at home.
After the three outings, Gomba still has seven group-stage games to change their destiny in this year’s competition starting with Buluuli.
