In the Buganda Region 3rd Division League, Simba FC/Uganda Wildlife Authority returns to action with a trip to Synergy in Kayunga at Ndeeba ground this Saturday, March 28.
Simba FC was not in action during the last league outings, as they had to take on Super Eagles Lugongwe, a team that lost its participation license due to match-fixing.
With the day off, league leader Buwambo United used the advantage to open up a 5-point gap, having played one game more than the Uganda Wildlife Authority side.
As they travel to Kayunga, the Rangers will aim only for a win to keep their hopes of winning the Buganda Region 3rd Division League alive.
Meanwhile, a try against Synergy FC, who are fighting against relegation, may be tricky. In the first round at Namulonge Ground, Simba FC won 1-0.
Going into week 20, Synergy won their last game when they beat Nantabulirwa 3-2, while Simba FC in their last outing fell in Kayunga 3-0 to UG Sports Arena.
As Simba FC is in action on Saturday, they will have an advantage to minimize the gap to two points and wait for Buwambo FC to play next Saturday against Manyangwa at Gayaza Church.
However, this weekend, there will be three other fixtures of the league, with Seeta United hosting Kajjansi United at Seeta Church, Nyendo hosting Nantabulirwa at Kyetume Lwatamu in Lwengo, while on Sunday, UG Sports Arena will host Kiboga United at Ntenjeru Ground in Kayunga will all fixtures scheduled at 4pm.
