Bugema University coach Medhi Nyanzi has set his sights on qualifying for the quarterfinals of the University Football League.
Nyanzi’s side moved top of Group A after a 3-0 victory away to Entebbe, with Isaac Ssenvunja scoring a brace and Suleiman Ssentongo adding the other.
“It was not easy since our target was to win the match with more than four goals,” Nyanzi said.
“We want to see that we rectify that before we play our last two games. We want to make sure we make it to the quarterfinals.”
The victory sees Bugema level on points with second-placed Uganda Martyrs, but they have a better goal difference.
Kabale are third with three points, while Unik are bottom of the group with no points. The former host Uganda Martyrs today.
Bugema have been in fine form since losing their opening game of the season 3-1 to Uganda Martyrs, winning their last three games in a row.
Nyanzi will be hoping that his side can continue their good form when they face Uganda Martyrs in their next match, as a win would see them book their place in the quarterfinals.
