Following the endless struggles, Uganda Premier League club Buhimba United Saints has unveiled Robert Mukasa to be the savior in the boots of head coach.
The former URA FC, SC Villa, Gaddafi FC, and UTODA FC coaching staff, who also had stints in Tanzania and Rwanda, joined the club on a short-term, one-year renewable contract.
The unveiling was done by Club President, Eng. Julius Ahuura, who expressed excitement about the strategic move.
“We are excited to have Coach Robert on board. His track record speaks volumes, and we believe his expertise will be instrumental to the club,” Eng. Julius Ahuura said.
Speaking on his new journey, the CAF A license holder highlighted, “I’m happy to join the Saints family. With my technical team, we’ll build on our points and work tirelessly toward our seasonal targets with growth, discipline, and success on the pitch.”
“Together, we can achieve greatness,” he added.
Mukasa has been out of a coaching job for a while, but this has come out as a great chance to prove himself as the head coach following a failed stint as interim coach at URA FC last year.
At Saints, Mukasa will have a big job to settle down on a team which is winless in 6 games and has conceded 11 goals in the last two games as they collapse to the relegation zone from topping the league in the opening three games.
