In the Kiboga District Football League, Busakya Sports Club picked up an away 1-0 win from Katoma FC to keep themselves on top of the table with 10 points.
Gonzaga Ssesaazi scored the only goal of the game played on Saturday, February 7, at Katoma SS ground. With a game less, Busakya SC remains the only unbeaten side in the league.
Having played 5 games, they have so far won 4 and drawn once, showcasing a form that is lifting them to the top of the league table despite having played a game less than some other big teams at that level.
On the other side, Busakya’s direct competitors, Kiboga Black Bullets, convincingly humbled Kambugu Flying Eagles 2-0 at Kirangira playground to storm into second place with 10 points but short in goal difference behind the leaders. Hamid Kato and Abdul Kakinda scored the goals.
Meanwhile, Kajjere United at their home ground, Kitete playground, were held by struggling Kabutemba FC 0-0, forcing the home team to continue dropping from the top to 3rd place in just a space of two weeks.
The league will resume on Saturday 14th February with a fixture between
Black Bullets and Kajjere at Kiboga Saza ground, and two more games on Sunday 15th February: Busakya SC hosting Kambugu Flying Eagles at Gogonya playground, while Kiboga Central FC at home will host Katoma United at Kibiga Primary ground.
