Busiro will look to reignite their Masaza Cup campaign when they host Buvuma at Ssentema Ssaza ground on August 4th, 2024. Initially scheduled for July 21st, the match was postponed at Busiro’s request following a team accident that resulted in multiple injuries.
Since the postponement, Busiro has made a managerial change, replacing Emron Ricoba with Paul Kiwanuka. The team drew their only match under the new coach, a goalless affair against Ssese.
Historically, Busiro has dominated the Buvuma rivalry, winning the last six encounters and scoring an impressive 21 goals. However, Busiro’s current form is inconsistent, with two draws and two losses.
This presents a golden opportunity for Buvuma, who are yet to taste victory but have managed four draws in their opening four matches.
Busiro will rely on the services of Lawrence Ssembatya under the guidance of Paul Kiwanuka, while Buvuma under the stewardship of Michael Bukenya will look to their attacking midfielder, Paul Kaggwa, for inspiration.
