Busoga United captain Charles Mulanda has been suspended by FUFA Disciplinary Panel for 12 matches after headbutting a referee plus fining him sh500,000.
Mulanda committed the offense shortly after being sent off in Busoga’s 1-0 victory over Gaddafi.
“The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has sanctioned Mulanda Charles Sunday of Busoga United FC with a ten match plus a fine of 500,000/= for breach of FUFA Competitions rules and Article 13(1) and Article 14(3)(vi) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code during the Uganda Premier League match against Gaddafi FC on 24th October 2023 at Gaddafi Arena-Jinja. Mulanda headbutted the referee,” read part of communication from the Disciplinary Panel.
“In addition to the two-match automatic suspension for the send-off in the same game, the player shall miss a total of the next twelve (12) physically played games. The fine must be paid immediately. He is prohibited from taking part in any football activities until the fine is paid in full and the ban is completed”.
