2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship | SF | Thursday April 9
- Uganda (SMASK) 0 (4)-(3) 0 Benin
Uganda’s St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende (SMASK) are one win away from glory after beating Benin 4-3 on penalties to reach the final of the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship in Harare.
The semi-final at Ngoni Stadium ended goalless in normal time, with both sides cautious and disciplined.

Uganda stayed solid at the back but couldn’t find a breakthrough. In the shootout, they kept their calm to get the job done.
It’s another step in what has been an impressive run. From the group stage, Uganda have looked sharp, scoring 10 goals and conceding just once.
Their biggest result was a 6-0 win over DR Congo, alongside a 3-0 victory against Morocco and a 1-1 draw with hosts Zimbabwe in the opening match.
Now, all focus shifts to the final on Friday, where Uganda will face Senegal, who beat Morocco 4-0 in the other semi-final.
Benin drop into the third-place playoff, where they will meet Morocco.
