As their CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary round bout with Future FC edges closer, BUL FC has reiterated its readiness to compete on the continent.
BUL will be taking on a side from Egypt at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Saturday in the first leg before the return match next Saturday.
It is important to note that both sides are only appearing at the continental showpiece for the first time.
“We know how difficult the task ahead of us is,” Richard Kasule, BUL’s deputy Head Coach was quoted by the club media.
“But, we are ready to battle Future FC and I am optimistic that we shall have a good start because that’s the first target being at home.”
“It’s a North African team and we all know how good teams from North Africa are, but, it’s also good to gauge yourself against the best.”
“Our preparations began early because after winning the Uganda Cup, we had a short break and returned to training.”
“After learning about our opponent we hardened our preparations and at the moment, we are ready to go.“
The victor on aggregate will advance to the competition’s First round, the penultimate stage before hitting the Group stages.
