Kampala Queens captain Shakirah Nankwanga is confident ahead of their opening clash against Kenya Police Bullets in the CAF Womenโ€™s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers, set for Thursday at Nyayo Stadium.

With a place at this yearโ€™s CAF Womenโ€™s Champions League in November on the line, Nankwanga believes her team is fully prepared.

โ€œWe have prepared very well. All departments are ready for this stage,โ€ Nankwanga said.

โ€œEvery player is ready to give their all. We call upon everyoneโ€™s prayers and support โ€” we promise to win the game.โ€

Kampala Queens, the FUFA Women Super League champions, face a tough test against Kenya Police Bullets, who finished second in their debut season and are determined to go further this year.

Bullets coach Beldine Odemba says her team is ready for the challenge.

โ€œThe mood is right, and the zeal of my team is good for the tournament,โ€ Odemba noted.

โ€œWeโ€™ve strengthened the squad with several new signings, including some from Uganda, and weโ€™re taking one game at a time.โ€

The qualifiers bring together top womenโ€™s clubs from East and Central Africa, with the winner securing the regionโ€™s sole ticket to the prestigious continental tournament later this year.
