The African continental football governing body has confirmed the dates for the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds.
In the competition, Uganda will be represented by NEC FC in the 2025/26 season as the club will be making its continental debut.
According to the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF), the first leg of the Preliminary Round is scheduled for September 19–21, 2025 while the second leg shall be on September 26–28, 2025.
After the first preliminary round, the Second Preliminary Round shall take place between October 17–19 before the return legs on October 24–26, 2025, with the ultimate goal of reaching the group stage.
As of now, the fixture of the competition is not out yet but NEC FC is destined to start from the first preliminary round since it is their first time to appear on the continental scene.
NEC FC finished second in the Uganda Premier League and qualified for CAF Confederation Cup as a result of Vipers SC winning both the league and the Uganda Cup.
