The champions of Ethiopia, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (C.B.E) will return to action today against FAD FC at 4pm at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

C.B.E came from behind to beat Buja Queens 2-1 in the opening game and they’ll be looking to continue with their good run when they meet FAD FC on Tuesday evening.

Aregash Tadesse and Loza Abera scored for C.B.E to register their first win in the opening game against Buja Queens.

FAD FC have never progressed past group stages while C.B.E have managed to make it out of the group stages in their previous two editions, reaching the finals in 2021 and Semifinals last year.

If Kampala Queens FC fail to beat Buja Queens on Wednesday afternoon, C.B.E will have a big chance to go on top of the table with a difference of two or three points.

However, if both Kampala Queens FC and C.B.E win their games, they’ll both be only one point away from qualifying for the semifinals.

C.B.E will rely on captain Loza Abera, Aregash Tadesse and Wakuma Demise to hunt for goals.

The top two teams from each group, will  qualify for the semifinals and the winner of the tournament will represent East Africa region in the final tournament of CAF Women’s Champions League that will be played from 5th to 19th November, 2023 in Ivory Coast.
