The 2024/25 FUFA Big League season wrapped up in dramatic fashion, with Calvary FC lifting the title and the promotion and relegation picture finally settled.

Calvary FC clinched the championship with a 1-0 win over Paidha Black Angels, finishing on 52 points.

The West Nile side capped off a consistent season with a historic promotion to the Uganda Premier League.

“This is a dream come true for the team, the fans, and the entire West Nile region,” said an emotional Calvary fan after the final whistle.

Buhimba United Saints and Gaddafi FC also secured promotion, both ending the season on 50 points.

Buhimba held on for a nervy 0-0 draw with Kiyinda Boys, while Gaddafi sealed their return to the top tier with a commanding 3-0 win over Kataka.

Despite a 2-0 victory over Busoga United, Blacks Power missed out on promotion due to results elsewhere.

Their strong finish wasn’t enough, and they’ll try again next season.

Four Teams Relegated

At the bottom, MYDA FC, Arua Hill SC, Busoga United, and Booma FC were relegated to the Regional Leagues. For clubs with top-flight experience, the drop marks a difficult new chapter.
