League leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC visit struggling She Makerere this Saturday in a bid to maintain their unbeaten run and maintain top spot in the FUFA Women’s Super League.
The Valley Warriors, currently boasting an impressive 27 points, will be looking to avoid complacency after a narrow win against She Maroons in their last outing.
The first leg encounter saw a determined She Makerere claw back from a two-goal deficit to secure a draw, highlighting the challenge Kawempe faces.

While She Makerere have only lost three games all season, they have only mastered one win (the least by any team in the league) and drawn nine times.

Makerere haven’t been able to convert draws into victories, especially at home. They have failed to win any game at home this season and they’ll be hunting it against in-form Kawempe.
Kawempe Coach Cautious of Makerere’s Threat
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC assistant coach, Nkata, acknowledges Makerere’s fighting spirit.
“We are playing against a good team that managed to come back from two goals down and force a draw in our first meeting and a team that’s hard to beat at home,” he said.
“We are well prepared, every department has improved in our last trainings after the She Maroons narrow win and our aim is to collect maximum points,” concluded Nkata.

A Pivotal Match for Both Teams
A win for Kawempe would take them to 30 points and extend their lead to 6 points over second-placed Kampala Queens (who don’t play until Sunday).
Conversely, a victory for Makerere would propel them to sixth position in the standings with 14 points.
Team News and Probable Lineups
Kawempe will continue to miss the services of midfielder Shakirah Nyinagahirwa while defender Winnie Nakanwagi is doubtful to play for Makerere.
