Day six of the Capricorn Eagles Series ended with Uganda registering mixed results in Namibia.
After beating Hong Kong by three wickets on Thursday, the Victoria Pearls followed that win with another resounding victory.
The Pearls defeated UAE by 29 runs in the morning game, but fell short against hosts Namibia, losing by 8 runs.
Namibia sent Uganda into fielding first, a thing they did brilliantly well restricting the hosts to 94 runs.
Stephanie Nampiina was outstanding in the bowling department with four wickets to her name.
Irene Alumo and Sarah Akiteng picked up two wickets each while Janet Mbabazi got one.
Proscovia Alako who was exceptional in the morning game, hitting 85 off 55 balls in a Player of the Match performance managed only 11 runs against Namibia.
Esther Iluko who was playing her first game at the tournament opened the batting with Alako had just four runs to her name.
Patricia Malemekia who had her first start of the tournament against UAE, conceded the most runs (31), but almost took Uganda to the finish line.
Malemekia was dismissed following a run out with the Pearls needing just 11 runs from 12 balls.
Her 16 runs were the most from a Ugandan player. Nampiina with 14, and Rita Musamali with 11 were the other players with double digits.
Uganda remains placed second in the table standings behind leaders Namibia, but the loss is their second in the Capricorn Eagles Series.
The Pearls will return to action tomorrow against Hong Kong, a team they beat on Thursday.
