The CECAFA U-18 Women’s Championship was originally scheduled to take place from 24 June to 8 July, but was first postponed to 1 July to 15 July, and now to 22 July to 5 August.
The tournament will now be held in Nairobi, Kenya, and will feature seven teams: Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Djibouti, and Zanzibar.
The draws were originally scheduled to be held on 22 June, but have been postponed until after the Olympic Qualifiers.
The Uganda U-18 Women’s National Team is currently in camp at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, and is preparing for the tournament.
The CECAFA U-18 Women’s Championship is the first of several CECAFA tournaments that will be held in 2023.
